Fairview Mills is looking to hire a General Mill Worker for the NIGHT SHIFT in Auburn, NE.

Fairview Mills is looking for a Quality Control person at our milling facilities to ensure that the products and ingredients that are being shipped exceed expectations. This position also involves ensuring that product received meets our expectations. This person, with the site manager, will help the staff recognize problems or defects at all the stages of milling, shipping, and receiving to uphold consistent quality standards. You will communicate to the site manager and staff about production processes to identify any mistakes or defects and ensure safety.

DUTIES INCLUDE:

• Check current policies and paperwork and make sure we are in compliance and remain at those high standards.
• Ensure company compliance with FDA, USDA, and customer requirements.
• Perform routine testing to ensure quality and adherence to regulations and standards.
• Verify logs, databases, and other data to track and note quality concerns and improvements.
• Quality Control testing on all materials, ingredients, and finished products using established procedures and methods.

EXPERIENCE: 1 year in Quality control (Preferred)

PAY: approximately $21.00 – $26.00 per hour. Wages will be determined upon experience in this specific field.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure the mill operates safely according to company procedures.
• Operate a forklift or other warehouse machinery.
• Monitor mill to detect any issues.
• Experience in a mill setting preferred but not required.
• Must adhere to facility SOPs on documentation and follow standard training that will be issued in this area.

WORK EXPERIENCE: Experience in a mill setting preferred but not required.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• Daily lifting of product ranging from 1 pound to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work in an environment where the indoor temperature ranges from 80 to 100 degrees F in summer and 50-65 degrees F in winter.

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or Equivalent

JOB TYPE: Full-time

SALARY: From $19.00 per hour. Pay rate is negotiable based on experience.
