Maintenance Technician-Feed Mill
Fairview Mills is hiring a qualified maintenance candidate for their day shift at our feed mill.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the support of production lines, equipment, and the facility.
- Must be able to perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair operating equipment during production and breakdowns.
- Work with others to achieve objectives of safety, productivity, quality, and more.
- Assist with root cause analysis to identify reasons for failures and breakdowns.
- Review electrical and pneumatic schematics during troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance project work.
- Review equipment instructions, blueprints, and schematics to ascertain test specifications, procedures, objectives, equipment, substitution of material or parts, etc.
- Electrical and Welding experience preferred.
- Accurately and fully complete all regulatory and compliance related documentation and procedures.
JOB SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in maintenance or associated work is a plus
- Practical knowledge of basic maintenance shop equipment
- Ability to bend, climb, crawl, work in confined spaces, work in hazardous condition spaces, work in extreme weather conditions, use hazardous materials, and lift up to 50 lbs. Must also be able to work with heights.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task as you work in a fast-paced environment to keep our company operational
- Good organizational skills as you ensure that you have sufficient supplies to handle routine maintenance tasks and can quickly get other supplies as needed to reduce downtime.
JOB TYPE: Full-time
SALARY: $24.00 – $28.00 per hour. Wage will be determined based on experience in this specific field.

Warehouse Material Handler-Shag Driver
Fairview Mills is looking for a Warehouse Material Handler-Shag Driver to add to our team at Junction City, Kansas!
*CDL Class A is mandatory.*
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate a shag truck to move trailers in and out of mill area as needed to keep up with production.
- Moving trailers to various places on the facility grounds daily.
- Assist in the warehouse as needed with handling ingredients.
- Warehouse and milling experience is preferred, but not required.
- Safely and efficiently organize, store, and move product within the warehouse.
- The ability to operate a fork-lift is a plus.
- Communicate with co-workers and manager daily.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to lift 20 to 50 pounds.
- Work in hot and cold weather conditions.
Premium skills such as freight movement, storage, loading and unloading various types of trailers are highly valued. - Must have great attention to detail, be precise and accurate with data entry.
- Develop and maintain clear and timely communication between clients and all operations of Fairview Mills.
- Attend to orders from receiving to final shipment.
- Assist in data input into current and new programs used for procurement of inventory and production scheduling.
- Coordinate and assist with procurement, transportation, and operations departments for the shipment of finished goods in a timely manner.

JOB SUMMARY:
Fairview Mills is looking for a Quality Assurance Site Supervisor at our milling facility in Falls City NE. This candidate will ensure the products and ingredients that are being shipped exceed expectations. This position also involves ensuring that product received meets our expectations. This person, with the site manager, will help the staff recognize problems or defects at all the stages of milling, shipping, and receiving to uphold consistent quality standards. You will communicate to the site manager and staff about production processes to identify any mistakes or defects and ensure safety.
DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Check current policies and paperwork and make sure we are in compliance and remain at those high standards.
- Ensure company compliance with FDA, USDA, and customer requirements.
- Perform routine testing to ensure quality and adherence to regulations and standards.
- Verify logs, databases, and other data to track and note quality concerns and improvements.
- Quality Assurance testing on all materials, ingredients, and finished products using established procedures and methods.

This is a night shift position. It will be Monday – Thursday nights.

- Will be a night shift position – Monday – Thursday night
- Reports to the production manager or the shift supervisor.
- Operates the computer that controls the batching scale, mixer, receiving leg and hammer mill.
- Fill bins with needed products, monitor batching and mixing, weigh out hand-adds, confirm empty bins and operate the hammer mill.
- Record key data for incoming ingredients and for each batch.
- Work with other employees to ensure formulas are followed and ingredients are not wasted or contaminated.
- Fill out appropriate paperwork.
- Work with outside carriers that unload/load our product, with the ability to operate a fork-lift.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.
- Work efficiently in a standing or sitting position for 3-4 hours at time, climbing ladders, and work in heat/cold and dusty environments.

Extrusion Operator
Kansas City Treats is looking for experienced Extrusion Operators to join our team in Kansas City, KS!
Day and night positions available.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Safely and efficiently operate the extrusion system, the dryer, cooler, and transfer system to ensure product compliance to company and customer standards.
- Daily start up, shut down, and clean-up of the extrusion operation which includes: monitoring product, performing quality audits, polishing tanks and extruder, monitoring tank levels, servicing the mix platform, and keeping the extruder area clean and orderly.
- Strict adherence to and understanding of both the FDA-GMPs and the SQF standards as they relate to the manufacturing areas in order to ensure that the program is being properly executed. Detailed training will be required of this position as there will be several of our facility’s CCP (Critical Control Points) that incorporate directly with the duties of this position.
- Safely and efficiently work your shift as scheduled each week.
- Communicate with co-workers, supervisor, and plant manager daily.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Daily lifting of product and boxes ranging from 1 pound to 50 pounds from table level to floor and above head as often as once every approximately 15 minutes.
- Walking and standing required. Climbing up and down ladders or stairs required. Must be able to continually bend and stoop for length of shift.
- Must be able to work in an environment where the indoor temperature ranges from 80° to 100° F in summer and 50° to 65° F in winter.
