Fairview Mills is seeking a skilled Shag Driver to join our team at Fairview, Kansas!

This is a night shift position. It will be Monday – Thursday nights.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Commercial driver’s license (CDL) is good to have but not mandatory.
Operate a shag truck to move trailers in and out of mill area as needed to keep up with production.
Moving trailers to various places on the facility grounds daily.
Warehouse and milling experience is preferred, but not required.
Safely and efficiently organize, store, and move product within the warehouse.
The ability to operate a fork-lift is a plus.
Communicate with co-workers and manager daily.

REQUIREMENTS

Must have a valid driver’s license.
Ability to lift 20 to 50 pounds.
Work in hot and cold weather conditions.

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or Equivalent

SUMMARY:

Premium skills such as freight movement, storage, loading and unloading various types of trailers are highly valued. The ideal candidate should possess a valid driver’s license, a high school diploma or GED, warehouse experience, and forklift certification. This role involves transporting goods efficiently and safely, requiring a strong attention to detail and adherence to transportation regulations.
As a Milling Warehouse / Yard Dog Driver, you will be essential in ensuring the efficient movement of materials within our facility. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, your role involves driving various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, to load and unload freight safely. You will utilize your forklift certification and warehouse experience to streamline operations. Join our team to contribute to a productive and organized warehouse environment.

JOB TYPE: Full-time

PAY: $20.00 – $24.00 per hour
